Open up the document, and position the signature at the bottom, as shown in Figure 2-8. Drag the signature over the bottom of the canvas.

Auto-Align the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right Pads
The last thing you want to do is have these signatures line up too closely to the inside edges of the canvas. If your canvas is set to the standard 72-point size, you would be creating a signature that is smaller than the rest of the document. With this type of setup, the top, bottom, and left edges of the signatures would get in the way of the text. Instead, you want them to be flush with the edges of the canvas.
To align the signatures, first ensure that your canvas is set to the 72-point size. Then, open up the Document Setup window (select View⇒Document Setup or press Ctrl+1), shown in Figure 2-9.

Select the QuickFit tab. On the left side of the page, under Select Layout, choose 72 Points Wide. The two tabs below QuickFit will display the width and height of the document, as shown in Figure 2-10.

Under Padding, select Custom and enter the number of points that you want to leave around the inside edges of the signatures. Then, under Vertical and Horizontal Padding, select Custom. Enter the number of points you want to leave around the outer edges of the signatures.
If you want the top, bottom, and left edges of the signatures to align with the outer edges of the canvas, change the value of Vertical Padding to 0 Points and the value of Horizontal Padding to 0 Points. You can even leave both values blank if you want all the edges of the signatures to align with the edges of the canvas. Figure 2-11 shows the settings.

Although the signatures may now line up with the edges of the canvas, they may still be too small. To make sure that the signatures are at the correct size, use the Margins tab. Select the Magnify drop 01e38acffe
